WHY
#CookForMorocco was born out of a need to respond to the 6.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Morocco on Sept 8th. 300,000 people have been affected by this disaster and 2,900 have died. Homes have been reduced to rubble and survivors are in need of everything to rebuild their lives. We built this community and volunteer-led fundraising initiative designed to support the people impacted by the earthquake through the unifying power of food.

Our Mission
#CookforMorocco was inspired by Moroccan values of hospitality and generosity and built on the success of previous #Cookfor_ campaigns. Our mission is to turn the language of food into a currency of recovery. We aim to empower our community to use their skills and influence to help raise and rebuild with Morocco.
As part of the campaign, restaurateurs, chefs, bakers, café owners and food lovers from around the world are invited to take part in #CookForMorocco by sharing Moroccan recipes, creating a Moroccan inspired dish, adding Moroccan tea to their menus, or showing support via social media platforms.
With the help of volunteers, the group will also be organising fundraisers, rotating supper clubs and bake sales with 100% of profits going straight to Choose Love and our local charity partners.
